The character of Peter Pan first appeared in The White Bird in 1902, a fictionalised account of Barrie's relationship with the Llewelyn Davies children. The concept was expanded into a stage play which was first performed in 1904, and then again into this full-length novel in 1911. this copy includes the rare dust-jacket which is of an unusual design in that it replicates the cover design and is printed in gilt on green paper.
