Condition

STRUCTURE The canvas has been lined. PAINT SURFACE The painting appears to be in very good condition. ULTRAVIOLET Examination under ultraviolet light reveals one area of recent minor restoration to the top of the tower and a layer of discoloured varnish overall. There are further very minor areas of older restoration below the varnish layer. FRAME Held in a Louis XV style frame.
