This handsome set of plates (many based on original watercolours by female members of the Ecole de Dessin de la Société Impériale de l'Encouragement des Beaux-Arts) presents images of jewellery, statuary, murals, clocks, vases and furniture from such eminent Russian collections as the Hermitage, the Winter Palace, the Peterhof Palace and the palace at Tsarskoye Selo.
