Catalogue Note
Second edition of Valerio's treatise on determining the centre of gravity of solid objects, originally published in Rome in 1604. Valerio (c. 1552-1618) was a member of the Accademia dei Lincei and a friend of Galileo until the Vatican condemned Copernicanism in 1616.
