Condition

Colours: The colours are fairly accurate in the catalogue illustration, although the overall tonality is matt and warmer in the original. Whites are lightless and tends to richer creams in the original. Condition: The work is in good condition. Some light craquelures are visible in the impasto at a few places. They appear to be inherent to the artist's working process. A few paint losses are visible in the lower and upper right quadrants, and especially there are 3 paintlosses in the mix of black and blue colours at the centre of the composition. No trace of restoration is visible under ultraviolet light.
