Condition
This work is in good condition. It is securely hinged to the backing board in places along all four edges. There is a diagonal handling crease along the upper centre of the sheet and one to the bottom right hand corner. There are further light handling creases scattered in places around all four edges, most notably in the top right hand corner. There is a very light handling mark towards the lower centre of the extreme right hand edge, which appears to be inherent to the artist's working process. There are two minute spots of foxing towards the centre of the extreme top edge and a further minute spot below the man's hairline towards the centre right of the top edge. There is a 15cm paper loss to the centre of the top edge which would appear to be original to the work's execution.
