This work appears to be in generally good overall condition. There are light traces of wearing all along the upper margin. A little trace of soiling by the center of left margin. No traces of retouching appear to be under UV light.

Catalogue Note

Futurista anomalo e autonomo, Gerardo Dottori conobbe proprio nella seconda metà degli anni Venti un momento di particolare felicità artistica nella quale si possono annoverare opere quali il celebre Trittico della Velocità, oggi conservato al Comune di Perugia.
L'opera qui presentata è il bozzetto preparatorio -particolarmente finito e pieno- per l'opera su tela Incendio-città, conservata anch'essa a Perugia, la quale partecipò alla XV Biennale Internazionale d'Arte del 1926. Rispetto ad altri bozzetti e disegni coevi, questo si caratterizza per una particolare completezza sia cromatico-atmosferica che compositiva.
