Condition

This work is in very good condition overall. There is a slight soft bump in the light blue area, located 3 – 3 ¼ in. from the bottom edge and 39 ¾ - 40 in. from the right edge, and a tiny chip loss to the upper corner of the blue segment in the lower left quadrant. There is light soiling from airborne matter and faint handling along the upper edges of the shaped canvas. There are horizontal stretcher bar marks through the orange perfume bottle and in the blue located 26 to 29 inches from the right. In the upper right gray area, there is an area of faint scattered spots extending 10 inches down from the top edge and located 6 to 10 ½ inches from the left. These appear to be a chemical alteration in the paint. Under ultraviolet light, there is evidence of inpainting and restoration as noted: --along the arced pink shape on the left side there are scattered tiny losses and cracks at the very edge of the stretcher as well as four spots of inpainting located 1 to 2 ¼ inches from the left and 25 ¼ -3/4 inches from the bottom. --a series of hairline vertical cracks associated with the horizontal stretcher bar mark in the blue section as mentioned above --a slight scuff in the light blue located 7 ½ - 9 ½ in. from the bottom and 37-38 in. from the right. --in the lower left dark blue section, the top edge has inpainting as well as extending down the left side 6 inches. --along the edge of the grey section on the left, 34 ½ to 39 ¼ inches up from the bottom. This canvas is not framed.
