Condition

This work is in very good condition overall. There is faint wear at each extreme corner as is typical of unframed Warhol canvases. The bevel on the front of the stretcher has caused intermittent faint impressions around the edges of the canvas, which also corresponds to a 3 in. long hairline crack in the upper right corner and another 1 ¼ in. in length in the upper left corner. There is a faint splash pattern of liquid accretions primarily located in the blue area 5 – 15 in. from the bottom edge and 11 – 22 in. from the right and in the yellow area 11 – 13 in. from the right and 19 – 23 in. from the bottom edge. Under UV light there are no apparent restorations to this work, however, a few of the splash pattern dots in the sitter's face are more apparent under UV light. This canvas is framed in a wood strip frame painted black.
