Condition

This painting is in very good condition overall. There are faint signs of handling on the curving edge of both panels. On the right panel in the upper right quadrant there is scattered soiling located primarily 5 ¼ - 6 in. from the top and 3 ½ - 4 ½ in. from the right and 2 ¼ - 4 ½ in. from the top and 9 – 10 ½ in. from the right. There are faint handling marks on the inner edge of the right panel. The left side of the inner edge of the right panel has a thin wood strip painted black and stapled to the lateral side of the panel. When the panels are de-installed, there is a slight bowing out of the strip 14 inches up from the bottom and there is one staple missing toward the top. Under UV light there are no apparent restorations.
