Condition

This work is in good condition overall. The edges show evidence of wear and soiling. There are two small ¼ inch impressions located 6 inches from the bottom edge and 6 and 7 inches from the left edge, respectively. There are faint stretcher bar impressions evident along the top and bottom edges of the stretcher. There is evidence of wear and handling to the edges with resultant paint losses on the sides of the canvas, most notably there are two ¼ inch paint losses on the top edge of the canvas located 4 inches from the right edge and along the right edge respectively. There are two abrasions which are visible only under raking light and which fluoresce under ultra violet light: a 4 ½ inch abrasion located a ½ inch from the right edge and 4 inches from the bottom edge and a ½ ih abrasion located 7 inches from the left edge along the top edge. Under UV light inspection, there is no evidence of inpainting. Unframed.
