Condition

This work is in very good overall condition. The surface is generally clean and the canvas is well-stretched. The heavily impastoed areas of paint appear sound and stable. Vertical striations are evident which is the result of original folds is in the industrial canvas. There is an irregularly shaped area in the center of the blue expanse, visible in the catalogue illustration, where it appears media was directly applied to the canvas attributing to its darker coloration. Variations in the coloration of the paint across the surface of the canvas are also the result of the artistic process. This work has not been examined under ultra violet light inspection. Framed.
