Condition

This work is in good condition and benefited from a recent surface cleaning by Amann + Estabrook Conservation. There is evidence of fine craquelure at the pull margins and wear at the edges. There is a slight buckling to the canvas in the upper-left quadrant. There is a small area of paint loss located 11 1/4 in. from the right edge and 1 1/4 in. from the bottom edge. There are scattered areas of craquelure throughout the composition which appear stable. The most evident of these areas are located 12 in. from the left lateral edge and 5 in. from the bottom edge and 11 in. from the bottom edge and 22 in. from the left edge. There is an impact impression with radial craquelure located 15 in. from the right edge and 9 ½ in. from the bottom edge. There are small spots throughout the composition which flouresce under UV light bur are not an indication of restoration. This work is framed.
