Colour:
The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality of the work is slightly lighter in the original. The illustration fails to convey the texture and three-dimensionality of the piece.
Condition:
This work is in very good condition. There are sporadic stable drying cracks at the base of some of the waves, as well as a few scattered stable hairline cracks to the glaze, all original to the work's execution and to the artist's choice of media. There are two small spots of wear to the side of two of the waves, one in the centre of the first row, the other left of centre in the second row.
