Condition
Colour:
The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall colour tonality is slight subtler in the original. The illustration fails to convey the reflective quality of the work.
Condition:
Panel 1: This work is in very good condition. There is some light wear to the four extreme corner tips, resulting in a very slight lifting of the print. There are several minute irregularities to the work's suface, noticeably to the centre of the left and right extreme overturn edges. There is a very fine, unobtrusive scratch running vertically up the centre of the blue horizontal band. Upon close inspection under raking light, a number of extremely fine scratches are visible, mostly to the upper third of the composition. There is a tiny dent to the top overturn edge, approximately 10cm. to the left of the upper right corner tip.
Panel 2: Some light wear is noticeable to the top left, bottom left and bottom right extreme corner tips, with associated slight lifting of the print.
