Condition

Colours: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate although the overall tonality is slightly brighter and more vibrant in the original with the green tending more towards fluorescent lime green. Condition: This work is in very good condition. The canvas is slightly slack overall. There is light wear to all four corners and in some places along the outer edges. There is a minute indentation to the extreme top outer edge, 30cm in from the upper right corner. There is a faint rub mark 30cm in from the lower right corner. Examination under ultraviolet light shows a minute spot of retouching to the upper right corner as well as a horizontal line of retouching to the lower left corner, 1cm in from the bottom edge.
