Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is slightly warmer and richer in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. It is hinged to the backing board in the top two corners. There is a light undulation and handling creases scattered in places throughout the composition, most notably to the extreme top right-hand corner. There is very light wear to the extreme top left-hand corner. There are some extremely light pinsized flyspots scattered in some places throughout, only visible upon close inspection. There are two minute spots of discolouration above the signature. There are light handling marks towards the upper centre of the right-hand edge and to the left-hand edge towards the bottom corner, which appear to be original to the work's execution. There is a very small, light media accretion to the lower centre of the left-hand edge. There is a further light media accretion to the upper centre of the extreme right-hand edge, hidden by the mount. The paper has discoloured slightly throughout.
