The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality of the gossamer is much warmer, with the white tending more towards cream in the original.
Condition:
This work is in very good condition. There are some hairline cracks along the seams of the wooden box. There is minor wear to the extreme edges and corner tips and some associated minor spots of loss. There are some very light, superficial rub marks and media accretions in some places along the box. There is light wear and some minute media spots and surface dirt in places along the pink cushion. One of the pieces of gossamer has four small areas of wear to one half of the sheet. The other gossamer sheet has a faint circular stain towards the top edge.
