Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is warmer and the paper tone tends more towards cream in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. There is very light wear to all four corners and in places along all four extreme edges. There is a small intermittent vertical rub mark to the centre left of the top edge. There are a few small patches of dirt to the top of both fabric areas of collage, probably inherent to the artist's working process. There are two pin-head sized puncture marks: one towards the centre top of the lower left hand quadrant, and one towards the centre of the top left hand quadrant above the black fabric collage. There are a few faint specks of foxing and skinning scattered throughout the composition, most notably along the bottom edge. All are only visible upon close inspection. There are a few light diagonal creases in the lower left hand corner. The areas around the collaged elements are discoloured, probably due to glue residue used by the artist.
