Colour: The colours in the catalouge illustration are fairly accurate, although the white tends more towards ivory in the original. The illustration also fails to convey the true depth of the work. Condition: This work is in very good condition. There are faint handling marks along all four edges. There are light drying cracks in several places along all four extreme inner edges and in places throughout. There is further very light cracking surrounding some of the nails to the extreme outer edges. There are a few minute losses to some of the individual squares, visible only upon very close inspection. There is a tiny paint chip to the extreme right top edge of the inner relief. There is a tiny damage to the bottom of the outer left edge of the inner relief. Two small patches have been restored in the joints between the sqaures in the centre of the lower left hand quadrant.
