Condition
Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is brighter and more vibrant in the original. The two dark central squares and the outer squares in the lower half of the composition tend more towards a deep forest green in the original. The purple areas tend more towards a primary blue in the original.
Condition: This work is in very good condition. Framed under plexiglas. There is very minor wear to the top left hand corner the left extreme edge. There are a few tiny specks of media accretion scattered throughout the composition, most notably towards the centre of the left edge. There is a very faint rub mark towards the centre left of the top left hand quadrant. There is a further extremely faint rub mark towards the centre right of the lower right hand quadrant. There are a few patches of light drying cracks scattered throughout the composition. All of the above are only visible upon very close inspection. There is a small spot of paint loss towards the centre of the composition, where the paint is slightly thicker. This does not alter the optical effect.
