Condition

This work is in overall good condition. There is evidence of light wear and rubbing to the edges. There are nuances in the coloration of surface, primarily in the lower half of the canvas, which appear to be the result of an exposure to water. There are a few scattered drip accretions and light surface abrasions. Unframed.

Catalogue Note

"Radicality comes from context and not necessarily form. The forms are radical in memory, by way of continuing the once radical, through extensions of its history. The avant-garde leaves a wake and, through mannerist force, continues forward. Even on the run, we sometimes look over our shoulders, approaching art with intuition rather than strategy. Art of this kind is more cult than culture." - Steven Parrino (Exh. Press Kit, Paris, Palais de Tokyo, Steven Parrino Retrospective 1981-2004, 2007, p. 5)
