Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate although the overall tonality is warmer and richer. Please note that the steel frame is not part of the work. Condition: This work is in very good condition. Upon very close inspection there are a few unobtrusive scratches to the front of the plexiglass frame. There are minor signs of discolouration to some of the areas of light brown paint which appear to be inherent to the artist's working process. The vertical side edges of the plexiglass frame have bowed slightly. When examined on the reverse, the resin encasing the paint tubes has cracked in places throughout, most notably in the upper third of the composition. These cracks are in a stable condition and would appear to be inherent to the artist's choice of medium. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.
