Condition
Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate although the blues of the sitter's face tend more towards slate grey and the light green in the lower right quadrant to acid green in the original. The catalogue illustration fails to fully convey the metalic silver paint in the lower part apparent in the original.
Condition: This work is in very good condition. There is some extremely light wear to all four corner tips,some slight canvas draw to the top right corner and a small rub mark to the top left corner. There are scattered fine hairline cracks in places throughout the composition, some with raised edges, notibly to the top section of the composition. Examination under ultra-violet light reveals a small retouching to the top left corner.
