Condition
Colour:
The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate although the overall tonality is richer and more vibrant in the original. The flesh tends more towards pink and the background tends more towards a clotted cream in the original.
Condition:
This work is in very good condition. There is slight canvas draw to the top and bottom left hand corners as well as minor wear to all four corner tips. There is a tiny brown media accretion between the figure's eyebrows and a fine line of yellow media accretion above the centre of the bottom edge. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.
