Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate although the overall tonality is warmer in the original, with pinker hues to the face. The catalogue illustration fails to convey the rich texture of the original work. Condition: This work is in very good condition. There is extremely minor wear in the upper two and lower left corner tips. There are some tiny brown media splashes to the figure's arm in the lower right quadrant and a further minute accretion to the centre of the top edge, probably inherent to the artist's working process. There is small white rub mark to the wood veneer in the lower right corner. There are some tiny stable drying cracks to the figure's upper lip and chin which are inherent to the artist's working process. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.
