Condition
Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate although the overall tonality is warmer in the original, with the background tending more towards peach and the flesh towards a warmer pink. The catalogue illustration is flipped.
Condition (based on the correct orientation of the work):
This work is in very good condition. There is some stable craquelure approximately 10cm above the right eye. There are two minute specks of media accretion: one 10cm above the lower left corner and another 20cm below the top edge in the upper right quadrant. There is a very small rub mark adjacent to the extreme upper right corner. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.
