Condition

Colours: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate although in the original work the colours are deeper and the paper tone tends more towards pale cream. Condition: This work is in very good condition and is securely hinged to the backing board in several places on the reverse. There is a light undulation to the top, left and right edges, and the bottom edge of the sheet is slightly deckled. There are tiny artist's pin holes in all four corners.

Catalogue Note

Richard Artschwager received the Wolfgang-Hahn-Award in 2005. On this occasion, the Gesellschaft für Moderne Kunst donated Richard Artschwager´s Janus III (Elevator), 1983/2005, to the Museum Ludwig, which is now permanently installed in the Museum.
