Condition
Colours: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate although the paper tends more towards cream in the original and the overall tonality is warmer.
Condition: This work is in good condition and is securely held under glass. There is undulation to the sheet throughout, most notably along the top edge. There are two thin parallel impact marks, each approximately 45cm. long that run diagonally above the figure's head. There is a further faint diagonal line 20cm. above this. There is a tiny tear to the extreme right edge approximately 45cm. up from the lower right corner. There are artist's pin holes in the top two corner tips. There are scattered light creases and undulation in several places throughout, notably in the lower half of the sheet. There are intermittent minute specks of foxing towards the top half of the sheet. There is a tiny black speck to the right of the figure's ear and a further few tiny media accretions towards the bottom right hand corner. There is a tiny puncture hole just above the frame in the centre of the bottom edge. Examination out of the frame reveals the left edge of the sheet is coarse with tiny losses and tears in places. There are small losses to the bottom two corner tips and a tiny artist's pin hole in the top left corner tip.
