Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate. Condition: This work is in very good condition. There is a fine layer of dust and scattered hair fibres adhering to the paint surface. There are two parallel hairline rub marks of approximately 6cm running towards the centre of the lower left quadrant, and two further very small rub marks 2cm above the centre of the lower edge. There are three faint finger marks to the surface which would appear to be original to the work's execution: two 5cm above the lower left corner (visible in the catalogue illustration) and one to the centre right of the upper left quadrant. There is a minute craquelure to the gesso in the extreme upper left corner tip. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.
