Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate although the overall tonality is much brighter and more vibrant in the original work where the third stripe from the left has a golden, mirror-like surface; the fourth stripe from the left tends more towards a florescent yellow; the sixth stripe tends more towards a sunflower yellow. Condition: This work is in very good condition. There is a small spot of minor wear towards the centre of the extreme right edge. There is a pin-head sized imperfection towards the centre of the gold perspex strip (3rd from the left). There is a light finger mark towards the top left hand corner. There are tiny dust fibres adhering to the surface in places, most notably to the florescent yellow stripe. There is a very small area of faint and stable craquelure towards the top of the furthest left stripe and a faint hairline crack just above the bottom left hand corner. There are a few tiny specks of media accretion to the top edge of the pink stripe and a several morw towards the top left corner tip. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.
