Condition
Colours: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate although the overall tonality is brighter and more vibrant in the original. The catalogue illustration fails to convey the luminous orange side edges of each canvas.
Condition: All five canvases are in good condition. There is a light layer of surface dirt and faint handling marks along the top turnover edge of each canvas. Scattered intermittently around the edges of each canvas are light handling marks, faint rub marks and small paint losses in places. There are also several tiny brown media splashes and minute fly spots to some of the canvases. There are several small protruding bumps to some of the edges of the canvases caused by nails in the board underneath. All of the above are unobtrusive and only visible upon close inspection. No restoration is apparent under ultra-violet light.
