Condition
Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate though the overall tonality is brighter and more vibrant, with the orange at the centre of the top edge tending more towards pumpkin in the original.
Condition: This work is in very good condition. The canvas is very slightly slack and there are very faint rub marks to all four corner tips. There is a very faint and stable patch of craquelure to the green area of pigment towards the upper left hand corner and further tiny matrices of craquelure at intervals throughout, only visible upon close inspection. There is a tiny spot of wear to an impasto peak at the centre of the top edge and a slight canvas dent to the lower right hand corner tip. There is an extremely faint 10cm horizontal crack above the lower edge to the right and a 15cm horizontal rub mark to the centre of the lower left quadrant. No restoration is apparent under UV light.
