Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is slightly brighter and more vibrant in the original, with the greens to the grass tending more towards electric green, and the white of the flowers more to creamy-white in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. Each of the four corners is very slightly rubbed resulting in a few minute isolated spots of media losses to the extreme corner tips. Two further minute specks of media loss are visible on close analysis in raking light to the left of the top blue flower. A few extremely fine and unobtrusive stable hairline tension cracks are visible on close inspection to places on the extreme overturn edges. Upon very close inspection there are two minute pinprick-sized media accretions: one to the left of the lower left flower and one to the green pigment adjacent on the right side of the same flower. There is some evidence of extremely light surface dirt to the white pigment of the lower left flower. No restoration is apparent under ultraviolet light.
