Condition
Colour:
The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is slightly warmer in the original.
Condition:
This work is in very good conditon. There are a few spots of light oxidation to the reverse of the base around the signature, and in a few isolated spots elsewhere. Close examination reveals a tiny media accretioin to the far left side of the base on the left edge, and there are two further tiny accretions to the front of the base beneath the donkey's head. Some superfical dust and dirt has collected in the recesses and there are a few tiny isolated spots where the black patina has rubbed, revealing shiny bronze beneath.
