Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonaltiy is softer, with the blues tending more towards delicate grey, the red of chair to soft terracotta, the pink of the flesh tones to a milky blush pink and the red-orange of the chair's leg in the lower right quadrant to milk-chocolate brown in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. A surface varnish is visible in places throughout, inherent to the artist's choice of media. Upon very cose examination there are two tiny cracks to an impasto peak adjacent to the upper left corner. A few superficial dust fibres are adhering in places between the crevices of impasto. No restoration is apparent under ultraviolet light.
