Condition
Colour:
The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is slightly warmer; the blacks throughout are slightly lighter and the paper tone is creamier in the original.
Condition:
This work is in very good condition. The sheet is hinged to the mount in the top two corners and the four edges are slightly uneven. The sheet is very slightly undulated and appears to have been laid onto a backing sheet verso. There are several light fine flattened creases throughout the work, some of which are original to the work's execution, including several to the centre of the work, to the left extreme edge, to the upper and lower parts of the right extreme edge, in places to the lower extreme edge, to the lower left quadrant and to the upper quarter. There is a horizontal broken crease at the centre of the left extreme edge with two minute spots of associated paper skinning exposing a backing sheet beneath. A tiny pale spot of discolouration is visible on close examination to the lower part of the lower left quadrant and and there are two tiny specks of paper folding inwards towards the top of the right extreme edge, with a further tiny spot to the centre of the top extreme edge.
