Condition
Colour:
The catalogue illustration is fairly accurate, although it fails to capture the reflective surfaces of the trombone and its three-dimensionality.
Condition:
This work is in very good condition.
There is some oxidisation to the exposed parts of the brass and to the joints of the different parts of the sculpture, characteristic of the medium's ageing process. A number of extremely light handling marks, rub marks and fine surface scratches are visible upon close inspection throughout. There is some tarnishing to the metal in places, notably to the brass elements. A residual piece of paper can be seen adhering to the base. There is surface dirt and dust adhering throughout, as well as residual paper fibres to the inside rim of the top left brass element.
