Condition

Colours: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate although the overall tonality is slightly richer and deeper, with the browns in the centre of the composition tending more to terracotta-brown, and the pale beige of the upper and lower sections to a deeper and more saturated beige-brown in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. The lower edge of the paper collage in the lower right quadrant is lifting from the sheet. There are minute creases to the upper and lower right extreme corners tips. There is some very light artist's smudging to the synthetic fabric collage on the left side of the composition, original to the work's execution. Each of the four corners of the plexiglas frame are taped. There are two tiny faint rub marks to the top left corner and on the left side of the upper extreme edge of the plexi. On close inspection in raking light the plexiglas has a few isolated fine and unobtrusive surface scratches in places and some very light superficial handling marks around the edges. A few minute surface dust fibres have collected inside the corners of the frame.
