Pile ranges from areas in end skirts and border near original 1/8 inch with majority of rug low to knotheads and in foldwear sports showing foundation. Sides with remnants of original red wool selvages now with losses and fraying into outer red side guard stripe. Lower end with 3 inch remnant of brown kilim end finish in lower left corner, small losses into lower end guard stripe for most of this end, now partially secured with binding stitch. Upper end with 2 inch remnant of brown kilim finish, then uneven losses into end guard stripes. All corners of rug 'rounded' by losses. Supple handle, sound overall condition, good color. Colors: madder red, purple-brown, natural brown, dark blue, mid-blue, yellow, ivory.
