Pile ranges from 1/8 of an inch to low to knotheads and spot foundation. Oxidized dark browns with some exposed warps and wefts in areas. Scattered foldwear throughout, also with exposed spot foundation in areas, the largest being 1 inch by 1 inch in upper end of field. Some minor scattered moth damage, not extensive, most in upper left corner. Small hole in center of field. Scattered minor restitched puncture holes. Ends complete with original flatwoven ends with some holes and some reweaving. Upper end finish generally more intact. Lower end finish fraying. Sides with original two-cord wool selvages. Cloth band sewn on reverse at ends. Sound fabric and condition, supple handle.
