Condition
Silk embroidered in couched and chain stitch on a natural ivory linen ground. Embroidery intact with a large 6 inch diameter hole now sewn to plain linen backing in lower right corner, smaller 3 x 4 inch hole further to the right, a few smaller scattered holes. Stains to linen ground. Losses to embroidery mostly along edges where some still fraying. Silk bands sewn to the reverse of all four sides as reinforcement, no backing. Will enhance with careful cleaning and some restoration.
