Condition

Pile ranges from areas of good, 1/8 of an inch to areas of foldwear, wear, and oxidization, low to knotheads and foundation with bald spots scattered along central axis of rug. Minor areas of old, faded repiling in most worn areas. Ends missing outer guard stripes and two to four rows of end guard borders with 6 inch by 3/4 inch reweave along lower end edge. Ends now partially secured with binding stitch. Sides with original two-cord madder wool selvages with some later overcasting, losses, and fraying. Extremely supple handle, lustrous wool, luminous color characteristic of these Kurdish gems.
