Pile is generally good, near original, approximately 1/6 of an inch throughout, with pile being slightly lower in prayer arch. One approximately 7 inch by 5 inch reweave in lower left corner. Another 4 inch by 2 inch reweave into left border. Two approximately 2 inch by 2 inch reweaves in field. Small 1 inch by 1 inch reweave in upper end border. Sides mostly original, complete with six-cord madder red wool selvaging. Reselvaged in areas. Ends complete with flatwoven finishes, now secured with binding stitch. Small triangular pile embellishment in upper end finish. Supple handle, good overall condition, good pile, restored, ready for use.
