One approximately 3in. slit and color change on left side border. Some further smaller slits and color changes. Warps exposed in scattered areas due to surface wear and abrasions. Small rewoven holes in border. Restitching to surface throughout, particularly visible in borders and running dog motif. Surface stitching was made by machine and was probably done to reinforce fabric. Size and ends once folded under and sewn, now sides mostly coming up with losses to stitching. Both ends now loose, with some slits into guard border, with the largest being approximately 3in. in length. Recommend securing sides and ends. Scattered spot stains and surface dirt, recommend cleaning. Sound fabric and condition, will enhance with cleaning and restoration.
