Pile generally very closely sheared 1/10in. with scattered areas low to knot heads. Minor scattered spot stains and some matting of silk - will enhance with cleaning. A 2in. by 1.5in. repiled area in lower right corner and a smaller repiled spot nearby. The face and shoulder of both standing figures in both lower corners are repiled - very slightly different shade of color, only visible upon close inspection. Repiling only visible on face, not on reverse. Ends secured with binding stitch, uneven fringes. Sides later overcast in brick red silk selvages with some minor fraying. Supple handle, sound fabric, good overall condition.
