Condition

Pile generally low to knotheads overall with some areas, particularly in borders, near original closely sheared 1/10 inch; lower half of field shows slightly more wear than upper half. Small reweave (approximately 3 by 8 inches) in medallion, smaller scattered reweaves and scattered repiling, mostly in red ground. Ends missing outer guard stripe, now secured with binding stitch. Sides reselvaged in madder red wool. Supple handle, unusual bold scale to design and good variety of color with luminous sea greens.
