Description

  • A Tabriz small carpet
  • approximately 9ft. 2in. by 6ft. 4in. (2.79 by 1.93m.)

Condition

Pile is generally good, closely sheared, approximately 1/10 of an inch throughout. Top tenth of carpet, approximately 1/2 of borders, faded to much lighter colors as illustrated in catalogue, probably due to exposure in sunlight. Right border with a 2 inch by 1 inch area of hardened white residue on surface, most likely easy to remove. Sides curling under due to density of weave. Losses to selvages, recommend securing. Ends complete with original fringes. Fine weave, very good overall condition, supple handle, ready for use.
