Pile is generally good, closely sheared, approximately 1/10 of an inch throughout. Minor scattered foldwear in upper end border, not extensive. Upper three-quarters of field is abrashed to lighter shade. Sides with losses to selvages, most on left side. Upper end secured with blanket stitch. Lower end with original flatwoven finish and remnants of fringes. Burlap bands sewn on reverse along edges in areas. Flexible handle, very fine weave, good overall condition, will enhance with minor restorations to sides.
