Condition

Pile ranges from dense 1/8in. with dark browns oxidized to knotheads. Numerous areas of wear also low to knotheads, some with repiling and tinting, particularly near center of carpet. Reselvaged with mauve wool, ends secured with blanket stitch. Sides and ends probably missing outer guard stripes. Some discoloration to ivory corners, possibly due to fugitive burgundy and mauve dyes, typical of Indian weavings. Robust weave, sound fabric, restored and ready for use.
